Digitalisation & Operations
Inventory & Logistics
A warehouse without a system eats into your margin — we run one ourselves. We set up inventory management, storage bins, scanners and shipping exactly as we use them in our own operation: in our own warehouse, for our own online shops, with daily shipments via Swiss Post, DPD and Planzer. Forecasts, reorder suggestions and analyses are AI-supported throughout.
Why work with us
Stock is money. We treat it that way.
Every item on the shelf is tied-up capital. Without a system, that means: overstock on the slow movers, shortages on the bestsellers, overselling in the shop, time lost searching the aisles, and a stocktake everyone tries to avoid. It doesn't cost you at some point in the future — it costs you every day, quietly, in your margin.
We don't know this from case studies but from our own operation: Tradebonus GmbH runs its own warehouse with its own online shops and daily shipping. Every solution we set up for you has had to prove itself there first. And because our accounting team works under the same roof, a project with us doesn't end at the loading bay: it's only finished once the figures are right in the financial statements.
Our own warehouse, our own practice
We pick, label, count and ship ourselves — every recommendation has been tested in our own operation, not in a brochure.
One stock level, every channel
Online shop, marketplaces, POS and branches all post to the same stock in real time — overselling doesn't stand a chance.
All the way to the financial statements
Stocktaking, inventory valuation and cost of goods sold flow directly into your accounting — with no loss at the interface, no rework.
Scope of services
From goods receipt to the dispatched parcel.
Inventory management & warehouse system
Inventory management is the backbone of every stock-holding operation: it knows what is there, what is missing and what needs to be ordered. We select the right system on a vendor-independent basis, set it up and support you through to go-live — and beyond.
- Roll-out of a standalone inventory management system: needs analysis, system recommendation, configuration, data migration of items, suppliers and stock levels, training and go-live support
- Storage-bin management and WMS: storage locations, zones and bins — including chaotic (random) storage — plus stock transfers and stock movements in real time
- Purchasing and replenishment: reorder points, automatic reorder suggestions, lead times and minimum order quantities per supplier, goods-receipt checks against the purchase order
- Multichannel stock synchronisation: one leading stock level across online shop, marketplaces, POS and branches — sales from all channels post in real time, and overselling is prevented
- Interfaces between shop, POS, warehouse and accounting: orders, stock levels, documents and payments flow automatically — including the selection and set-up of the middleware, for example to Bexio or Abacus
- A clean item master as the foundation: item numbers, GTIN/EAN, product groups and master-data cleansing before the migration rather than after it
Hardware & mobile working
A warehouse only becomes fast once the information reaches the point where the work happens: at the shelf, on the handheld, at the printer. We supply the devices, set them up and keep them running — with a rental and service model, just as in our POS business.
- Barcode and scanner equipment: handheld scanners, mobile data terminals and label printers — sourced, set up and connected to the inventory management system, whether purchased or on a rental and service model with replacement devices
- Mobile picking: picking lists on the handheld, scan confirmation per line, goods receipt and goods issue posted on the move — fewer mispicks, no paper in the warehouse
- Digital stocktaking: cut-off, sample or perpetual stocktaking via a scanner app, with target/actual reconciliation and an accounting-ready stocktake record
- Labelling and price marking: layouts for shelf, product and bin labels, printed directly from the item master — optionally with electronic shelf labels (ESL) and centralised price management
- Training on the device itself: your warehouse team learns scanning, posting and labelling where they will actually work — in your warehouse, not in a training room
- Service during operation: device set-up, replacement, and resupply of labels and consumables — so your warehouse never grinds to a halt because of the technology
Shipping, returns & special cases
Between the click and the parcel lies manual work — and after the parcel, sometimes, comes the return. We integrate shipping and returns cleanly and also cover the cases where standard set-ups fall short.
- Shipping integration with Swiss Post, DPD and Planzer: labels straight from the order, tracking sent automatically to the customer, shipping-method logic based on weight and destination country
- Returns and RMA process in the warehouse: capturing the reason for return, inspection, re-storage or write-off, credit-note triggering, and return rates per item
- Fulfilment consulting and 3PL integration: own warehouse or service provider? We provide the basis for the decision, select the right provider and connect them technically to your shop and inventory management
- Drop-shipping and direct-delivery business: the customer order triggers the supplier order, the delivery note goes out in your name — with stock and margin control despite direct shipping
- EDI and supplier integration: electronic document exchange with retail chains and large buyers — order, dispatch advice and invoice to their specifications, set up and tested with the buyer
- Batch, serial-number and best-before-date management: traceability, first-expired-first-out and sell-off alerts for food, plus serial numbers for devices including warranty handling
Warehouse expertise first-hand
We set up warehouses we stand in ourselves, every day.
Whether a warehouse solution holds up becomes clear not in the software demo, but between goods receipt and the dispatch ramp — and, at the end of the year, in the figures.
We do our own warehousing
Our own warehouse, our own online shops, daily shipping: for us this is day-to-day business, not a consulting topic. We know the pitfalls of interfaces and hardware from our own operation — not from a sales presentation.
Process before software
Before any system decision, we map your workflows on site — in your warehouse, not in a meeting room. Hardly any software vendor takes this step; that is exactly where we begin. Because a bad process only gets faster at being bad once software is added.
All the way into accounting
What your warehouse counts appears correctly in the financial statements: stocktaking, inventory valuation and cost of goods sold flow seamlessly into accounting under the same roof — no one retypes count sheets, nothing is captured twice. This combination of warehouse practice and accounting is something scarcely anyone on the market offers.
Beyond that
Four packages with a clear outcome.
On-site warehouse process review
We map the actual workflows in your warehouse: routes, bottlenecks, ABC placement of the bestsellers, separation of goods receipt, picking and dispatch. You receive a concrete action plan — before any software decision, not after it.
Digital stocktaking
Stocktaking via a scanner app instead of count sheets on paper: target/actual reconciliation in the background, an accounting-ready stocktake record — and stock values that flow straight into the annual financial statements. On request, we accompany the first count in your warehouse in person.
EDI integration for large buyers
Your buyer demands electronic orders, dispatch advices and invoices to their specifications? We clarify the requirements, estimate the effort transparently and set up the document exchange — including a test run with the buyer before the first real order.
Bespoke warehouse dashboards
Where standard software ends, we develop further: coverage and slow-mover analyses, warehouse cockpits, connections to specialist systems — as in-house development from our AI & Automation division. The code belongs to you — just as, with us, all access credentials belong to you as a matter of principle.
From practice
One order — from the click in the shop to the financial statements.
This is how an order runs when inventory management, warehouse, shipping and accounting interlock — exactly as we do it in our own operation every day.
Order comes in, stock reserved
The order from the online shop lands directly in inventory management and the item is reserved — across all channels: at the POS in the shop and on the marketplace, the stock is correct at once. Overselling is impossible.
Picking by scanner
The picking list appears on the handheld, the storage bin guides the way, and every line is confirmed by scan. Mispicks are caught before the parcel is sealed — not only when the complaint arrives.
Label and tracking automatically
The shipping label for Swiss Post, DPD or Planzer prints straight from the order, the shipping method is determined by weight and destination country, and tracking goes to the customer automatically. No one retypes an address.
Cleanly booked through to the financial statements
Stock and cost of goods sold are updated, and the document flows automatically into accounting. The order is complete — in the figures too, not just on the ramp.
Process
Four steps to a warehouse that runs smoothly.
Process review
We look at your warehouse on site: workflows, routes, stock, systems — and which of these is really the problem.
System decision
A vendor-independent recommendation: which system, which modules, which hardware — and what you deliberately do not need.
Roll-out
Configuration, data migration, interfaces and training on the device — supported through to go-live and through the first weeks.
Operation & optimisation
Service for devices and system, analyses, fine-tuning of the processes — and, on request, we stay on board on an ongoing basis.
Who it's for
Four starting points, one common denominator: stock you can rely on.
Online retailers & multichannel
Shop, marketplaces and perhaps a store: as soon as several channels draw on the same stock, you need one leading stock level and clean interfaces. We set up the very configuration we use for our own shops every day — including shipping and returns.
Wholesale & suppliers
Volume tiers, partial deliveries, buyers' EDI requirements and direct-delivery business: we cover the cases where simple set-ups fall short — and make you technically able to supply retail chains and large buyers before the framework contract stalls on the technology.
Retail & branches
From the back office to the shelf: item master and prices maintained centrally, stock levels per branch in view, labels and electronic shelf labels all of a piece — and the POS posts to the same stock. One price change, correct everywhere.
Food-service suppliers & food
Batches, best-before dates, first-expired-first-out and traceability: we set up the management so that nothing expires that could still be sold — and, in the event of a recall, every batch can be found. Responsibility under food law remains with the business — we deliver the system that makes it manageable.
Frequently asked questions
On inventory & logistics.
Do we need our own inventory management system — or is the stock management in the POS enough?
For a shop with a manageable range and no warehouse of its own, the stock management in the POS system is often sufficient — that is exactly what our POS & Operating Systems are for. A standalone inventory management or warehouse system pays off as soon as you run your own warehouse, sell across several channels, pick and ship — or want purchasing and replenishment to run systematically. We give the honest answer after the process review: we won't sell you a WMS if a clean shelf plan and the POS module will do.
Which software do you work with — are you tied to one vendor?
We advise on a vendor-independent basis. Which solution fits depends on your range, channels, volume and existing systems — not on a distribution agreement. We prepare the recommendation, set up the chosen system and connect it to your shop, POS and accounting. And every recommendation has to pass one simple test: would we use it in our own warehouse?
Our large buyer demands EDI — what does that mean for us?
EDI means: order, dispatch advice and invoice run electronically to your buyer's specifications — in Switzerland this is often the prerequisite for supplying retail chains and large buyers at all. The effort depends heavily on those specifications; that is why we never quote EDI projects at a flat rate, but first clarify the buyer's requirements and then estimate transparently. Set-up always includes a test run: the first real order only goes ahead once the document exchange works cleanly in both directions.
How does a digital stocktake work — and what does our accounting get out of it?
Counting is done via a scanner app instead of count sheets: scan the item, confirm the quantity, and the target/actual reconciliation runs in the background — depending on the operation as a cut-off, sample or perpetual stocktake. The result is an accounting-ready stocktake record. And because our fiduciary team works under the same roof, stock values and valuation flow straight into the annual financial statements — without anyone retyping lists.
When do you advise against new software?
More often than you might expect. When the process is the problem in the warehouse — unclear zones, no fixed bins, the bestsellers in the furthest aisle — new software only makes the workflows faster at being wrong. In that case we start with the on-site process review and first implement the action plan; sometimes a well-considered shelf plan, clean labels and discipline at goods receipt are all it takes. Only once the process is sound is the system decision made — on a foundation that holds.
Do we have to buy scanners, printers and mobile data terminals?
No. As in our POS business, we offer the hardware for purchase or on a rental and service model — including set-up, replacement devices and resupply of labels and consumables. For growing operations, renting has a practical advantage: devices can be added as the warehouse grows, rather than being bought in advance.
You set up the batch and best-before-date management — does that mean you also take on food compliance?
No, and we draw that line clearly on purpose: we set up the system — batch management, first-expired-first-out, sell-off alerts and traceability from goods receipt to delivery. Responsibility under food law remains with the business: what must be declared, documented and, if necessary, recalled is defined by food law. Our contribution is that your system can carry these obligations at any time — the legal assessment in the individual case rests with the competent specialist authorities.
Who owns bespoke warehouse tools and dashboards?
You do. When we develop for you — warehouse dashboards, coverage analyses, specialist integrations — the code belongs to you, just as we handle all access credentials as a matter of principle. Conversely, where existing bespoke software is involved and its developer is no longer reachable: we only take on third-party code after an audit — before that, neither its quality nor its maintainability can be assessed seriously, and that is exactly the diligence you rightly expect for your warehouse too.
