Digitalisation & Operations

POS & Operating Systems

The till is the beating heart of any hospitality or retail business — and during a rush it determines your pace, your nerves and the accuracy of your figures. We make sure your POS simply works — and that its data, thanks to AI, works for you.

Why work with us

Independent advice, thought through end to end.

There is no shortage of POS systems — what matters is which one fits your business: table management or counter service, one location or several, a simple menu or a complex range. We advise independently of any manufacturer and set the system up so that it runs from day one.

The difference from dealers who only sell tills: we think the POS together with your accounting and your workflows — from the item master and the VAT rates to the reports that show what is really happening. One solution, not an isolated system.

Reliable under pressure

Fast workflows, clear operation — even during a fully booked Saturday-evening service.

Cleanly booked

Daily closings and turnover flow directly and correctly into your accounting.

Grows with you

From your first location to a branch network — the system scales with your business.

Scope of services

From selection to support.

Advice, selection & setup

We analyse your business, recommend the right system and handle the entire setup — including the item master, hardware and payment integration.

  • Needs analysis and vendor-independent recommendation
  • Setup of hardware, software and payment methods
  • Integrated table reservations linked to the floor plan
  • Migration of items, menus and prices
  • Time tracking and staff scheduling in the same system
  • Trial run before your first day of operation

Integration, training & operation

After go-live we stay on the case: your team is trained, the figures flow into your accounting, and when questions come up we are reachable — including when time is of the essence.

  • Daily closing and direct integration with your accounting
  • Invoices, quotes and delivery notes straight from the POS
  • Reports: turnover, best-sellers, slow movers
  • Team training, brief and hands-on
  • Purchase on account for B2B and regular customers — cleanly booked
  • Ongoing support and further development

Hardware, payment & service

POS and payment belong together. We source the right card terminals, integrate card and Twint payments directly into the till, and remain responsible afterwards too — one point of contact for the whole system instead of several hotlines pointing at each other. And because a breakdown does not wait for office hours, a service agreement handles the worst case before it happens.

  • Card terminals with integrated payment processing — card and Twint
  • POS and payment from a single source instead of separate providers
  • Hardware on a rental or subscription model on request — easing cash flow in the start-up phase
  • Service agreement with agreed response times and on-site call-outs
  • Replacement device in the event of a fault — your business keeps running
  • Reachable when hospitality is at work — including evenings and weekends

POS expertise down to the detail

A till is quickly bought. Correctly configured, it rarely is.

Whether a POS system holds up in daily use is not decided in the brochure, but in three places: VAT, payment and the daily closing. That is precisely where we focus with every setup.

VAT correct from the very first entry

Consumption on the premises at 8.1 per cent, take-away at 2.6 per cent: we assign the rates per item and sales channel, so that mixed cases such as seated dining and street sales are automatically separated correctly and the VAT return adds up without corrections.

Payment routes without a gap

Card, Twint and cash run through one centrally integrated payment flow, including separately itemised tips and bill splitting, so that at the end of the evening every payment can be clearly attributed.

A daily closing that adds up

Cash count with a target/actual reconciliation, logged cash removals and a structured export to your financial accounting: the closing is done in minutes and does not need to be reworked at month-end.

Beyond that

Getting more out of your POS.

Online orders & delivery services

Integration of your web shop and delivery platforms — orders flow straight into the POS instead of onto slips of paper.

Digital menu & QR ordering

Guests order via QR code directly at the table — this relieves your staff and increases the average spend.

Inventory management & warehouse

Stock control and recipe costing in the POS — cost of goods and shrinkage at a glance. For stock-holding businesses with picking and dispatch, our standalone solution Inventory & Logistics is ready to go.

Vouchers & loyalty programme

Digital vouchers and stamp cards at the till — so regular guests come back more often.

Self-ordering, self-checkout & kitchen display

Ordering terminals, self-service tills and kitchen displays with course and station control instead of receipt printers — more throughput with the team you already have. The most effective answer to the staff shortage in hospitality and take-away.

AI-supported reporting

Your POS data reveals more than the day's turnover: demand patterns, best-sellers, quiet hours. Read how we turn that into automated reports under AI & Automation.

From practice

A service evening with a till that thinks along.

This is how a busy evening runs when ordering, kitchen, payment and accounting all run through one system — no slips of paper, no double entry.

1

Ordering directly at the table

The server takes the order on a handheld device, or the guest orders themselves via QR code at the table. Course sequence, side dishes and special requests are passed along at the same time — nothing is noted twice.

2

Tickets go where they belong

Food appears on the kitchen ticket, drinks at the bar — automatically separated and in the correct course sequence. The server calls up courses instead of running into the kitchen.

3

Payment without detours

Card or Twint directly at the table, with tips recorded separately and itemised correctly. If the table wants to split, the POS divides the bill by item or into equal shares — in seconds, without re-entry.

4

Closing instead of paperwork

After the last guest: daily closing at the touch of a button — the cash count balances, and the figures flow automatically into your accounting. No retyping, no discrepancies at month-end.

Process

Four steps to a POS that runs.

1

Needs analysis

Business, workflows and requirements — looked at on site, not out of a catalogue.

2

Recommendation & quote

The right system with transparent costs — hardware, licences, setup.

3

Setup & training

Installation, item migration, trial run and team training before you start.

4

Support

Reachable when it counts — plus reporting and further development.

Who it is for

Four types of business, four sets of requirements — the right configuration for each.

Restaurants & cafés

Floor plan, course control, mobile devices for the service and bill splitting at the table: the POS follows your service flow — not the other way round. Tips are recorded cleanly and separately, so the team's tip settlement adds up.

Take-away & food concepts

At the counter, speed is everything: quick-select buttons, a clear item structure and the automatic separation of 2.6 per cent take-away from 8.1 per cent consumption on the premises — per sale, without your staff having to think about it. We integrate delivery services directly.

Retail & shops

Barcode scanning, a well-maintained item master with product groups, stock control via inventory management and voucher administration: you can see at any time what is in stock and what is moving — the POS becomes a management tool.

Multi-site operators & branches

Maintain items and prices centrally, roll them out per location, view reports by branch and across the board: with roles and permissions, each person sees exactly what they need — and you keep an overview of every business.

Frequently asked questions

About POS systems.

Which POS systems do you work with?

We advise independently of any manufacturer and rely on proven Swiss and international solutions for hospitality and retail. The recommendation is based on your business — not on a margin.

Can I keep using my existing hardware?

Where it makes technical sense, yes. We assess your existing devices and add only what is needed — which protects your budget.

How long does the changeover take?

A standard setup is operational within a few days. We plan the changeover so that your business continues without interruption — including a trial run before your first day of service.

Does the POS also help with the accounting?

Yes — this is one of our greatest levers: daily closings and turnover flow into your accounting in a structured way. Combined with our fiduciary services, the result is a seamless, end-to-end solution.

What happens if the internet goes down in the middle of service?

The systems we set up keep working offline: orders, tickets and cash payments run over the local network, and the data is synchronised automatically once the connection returns. During setup we run through your system's failover behaviour in concrete terms — including the card terminal — and, where sensible, we set up a backup connection, for instance via a mobile hotspot. An internet outage thus remains a minor matter, not a stop to your service.

Can we adjust prices and the menu ourselves later on?

Yes — that is expressly the goal of the training. New dishes, price changes, daily specials or seasonal menus are then maintained by you, without having to wait for us. To make sure nothing goes wrong, we build the item master from the outset so that product groups, VAT assignment and ticket routing are fixed: you change the price, and the logic behind it stays correct. For anything beyond that, support remains reachable.

Is it worth switching mid-year — or are we risking chaos?

A switch does not need a turn of the year. We prepare the new system in parallel with ongoing operations, migrate items, prices and master data, and make the switch on a quiet day or overnight — with a clean cut at the daily closing. The old system's closings remain documented, and the accounting continues without a gap. Your team works on the new system at the next day of service, trained and without interruption to day-to-day business.

Can the hardware also be rented?

Yes. We offer POS and terminal hardware on a rental or subscription model on request — including setup and service. This eases cash flow, particularly in the founding and start-up phase, when capital is better invested in stock, staff and getting going than in devices. Whether purchase or rental is more economical for your business is something we set out transparently in the quote — with no hidden items.

What happens if a device fails during operation?

For that we conclude a service agreement with you: agreed response times, on-site call-outs where remote maintenance is not enough, and replacement devices so that your business keeps running while the faulty device is repaired or replaced. We resolve many faults directly by remote access, without anyone having to come by. And because hospitality works when others have clocked off, we are reachable in the evenings and at weekends too.

When do you advise against switching systems?

More often than you might think: if your existing system is fundamentally a good fit and simply configured incorrectly, we optimise the settings rather than sell you new hardware. A switch is only worthwhile once the system is slowing your workflows down — and we will tell you so honestly after the analysis.
